A GReAt WeeKenD

Well I hope everyone had a GREAT time off with their family. I know we did!!! NOT ready to go back AT ALL !

The weekend was very nice-all but poor Jason was sick! He had a major sore throat but he still managed to drive us to where we needed to be! THANKS HON!! The weather was awesome for St Charles-it was just PERFECT for going in and out of the stores. We headed to a little Mexican Restaurant for dinner and it off the beaten path and I mean this is WILD! I was sitting there and all of a sudden these couples came in the door and I was like ROB! and then I looked and it was Tiffany (McCandless) Rob and their friends!!! They were just as shocked as I was!! (I knew they were out there and she knew we were but-we are talking in St Louis!) SO--- Sat. we headed for the mall. If you have never been to the mall in St Louis-you need to go. I LOVE IT! Are you ready for this .......we were in the mall 7 YES 7 hours! And really I did not even go in every store. This place is awesome. This year I did notice a few stores we closed-which was a bummer!! They have an ice skating rink-go carts-a Cabelas that is out of this world (did not even make it in there this year). I was in GAP looking and I looked up and seen Ginger- Tiffany McCandlesses friend. Later I took Carter back in and Tiffany and Rob were in there! That is funny!!!! Like I said in last weeks p0st you cant go anywhere anymore!! ha! Got a FEW Christmas gifts---I dont know what I was thinking....I kept finding me things- of course when you are not looking for something special you find it! We had a hay day!!

Today was church. A REALLY good message I wish everyone could of heard!!! It really touched my heart.....made me think. You know we should ALL see Christ EVERYDAY in SOMEONE!!! {I know that isnt ALWAYS the case but...} I hope somewhere-sometime-someone sees Christ in me-Jason-Carter and in YOU! God Bless! <><

Turkey Trot - Turkey and more Turkey

Seems like there is a lot of turkey today~ (I am not a fan of turkey) but...I love all the other things-

So this a.m. started out with the Turkey Trot! Leah -Anna-Lisa and I signed up to take part in it this year. It is a 5k run/walk. It was really neat- minus the shin splints I have now! We started off at Health Point {oh-forgot to mention Lisa didnt get out of bed--you missed out LISA} and headed towards 36th st in Jasper. For those of you who know the route-dont judge UNTIL you do it!! Ill be honest- I was like WHAT --that isnt even far!! OMG! not far at all- but taking those hills in the car is a heck of a lot quicker-than walking. We didnt come in last like Leah and I had expected ha so we were happy about that....we even passed some people up. We decided that this would be a tradition......and we need to start training this friday! NOT!!! They timed us and I think we came in at about 45 minutes... Afterwards we had fruit and nuts. It was really fun!

Now on to dinner #1 We met Jasons family at the Holiday Inn for dinner--*there are only 7 of us". Dinner was GREAT but ate to much of course. Came home from there and needed a major nap-since Carter was occupied and Jason too I took a quick nap. I could of slept the rest of the afternoon with a fully belly-but we had to be at my sisters for supper at 5:00. UGH~ we made it-Carter had painted his face like an Indian and he made me a Pilgrim hat (pretty good one for a 7 year old) and we were going to have a skit that he wrote but when we got there...that all fell thru cause he seen his cousins and was embarassed. *they are all older. So ANOTHER dinner (and we were not gonna eat much ) ha man it was goooooooood-nothing like my mothers home cookin!!! Oh-forgot to mention it was my dads birthday today too!!! (we skipped cake and slipped candles in a pumpkin pie-and called it good) HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Hope you all had a nice THANKSGIVING!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend! We are heading to St Charles tomorrow-a tradition we have done for 6 years. It is the kick off for the season--it is soooo awesome I cant wait to go!! It is like a Charles Dickinson book that comes alive...tiny tim....scroge.....Christmas angel.....a guy roasting chestnuts.....olf time Santas from all around the world...St Nick and many more!!

What are YOU thankful for?

I read a friend (Nicoles) blog and she challenged us to write what we are thankful for and pass it on. We always do this at my parents house each year at Thanksgiving......we all write down one thing and then the kids get to read them.....I will write more than one today....

I am thankful for my beautiful family-who is ALWAYS there for me thru good times and bad--Who will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING for me. Who knows ALL about me and still loves me!! I am thankful that we are sooooo very lucky to have all our parents (4) and they are well...and are always there when we need them. I am thankful for a husband and son who love me---I am thankful that I can talk to Jesus anytime-- anywhere. I am thankful that I had the best grandmother ever in the whole wide world and whom I miss dearly! {Greaty I LOVE YOU and Wish you were still here-- Carter and you would be buddies I know it--- It has been a long 10 years without you}...... I am thankful for peace and quiet---I am thankful for a brother who ALWAYS makes me laugh-who's nieces are absolutley precious to me (Emily-Adi-Maranda & Chloe) I am thankful for the clothes I have even though I complain everytime I get in that closet...I am thankful for the awesome friends I have--I am thankful that we still continue to get together and can leave off right where we started. I am thankful Becky is having the girls Christmas party this year ;) . I am thankful that I have a warm bed to sleep in (even though I think it is always freezing in this house). I am thankful that my friend Jamie is getting better each and everyday. I am thankful Jesus loves me.... I am thankful that my first year in Uppercase Living went way beyond my expectations! I am thankful that I made new friends thru UL- (love ya andrea) I am thankful I only have 1 day and a half left this week :) I am thankful for nephews that always act crazy and drive me crazy....I am thankful that I am not cooking for Thanksgiving (and my family is too) I am thankful for my prayer group girls (miss ya Shannon) I am thankful for each and everyday that I am here cause you never now what lies ahead..... I have soooo much more to be thankful for but its getting late! THANK YOU Lord for ALL of my blessings!!

DaTe NiGht ~

Jason had a date planned Sat. for us. It was REALLY nice- We went to Evansville to shop/eat and just be able to talk without having to be interupted!!

First stop was Michaels-to return an item- {my cell phone rang and it was Tammy and she said "what ya shopping for" - she had just passed us} Hobby Lobby was next to pick one thing up-yeah right! We then headed to Marshal's Jasons favorite- and got several Christmas gifts......then off to eat---we were starving! We actually BOTH had Biages {sp?} on the brain and ended up going to Lone Star {have not been there in years} it was AWESOME!!! We had the onino of course-Jason got a steak and I had a huge salad--- We were then headed to my favorite places Target -TJ Maxx-& Dicks!!!. when I seen Tiffany aty the gas station! {You cant hide in Evansville thats for sure! :} TARGET TOYS was NUTTS ALREADY-----I just had fun seeing all the CRAZY parents scurrying around to get their kids stuff-TG I am not one of them THIS year--I think we have it under control. It was still actually pretty early when we left there - so we headed to the mall for a bit.....got some good ideas for Jason so I am excited about that. We actually hit the liquor store for a much needed bottle of wine... When we got home I had one glass and I was out!!!! Thanks Jason for a GREAT day!! love you!!

An Interview with Carter

I just meet a fellow UL demonstrator and got on her blog and she posted an interview with each of her kids (she has 3) and I enjoyed reading them soooooooooooooooo......I am doing the same. here we go

FAMILY-FRIENDS-MARGARITAS AND BRIGHTON

WHAT MORE COULD I ASK FOR!!! I HAD SUCH A GREAT DAY! THANKS TO ALL MY FRIENDS/FAMILY WHO CALLED AND SENT CARDS-YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME--- I LOVE YOU!!!

FROM 7-10 I JUST KINDA CHILLED OUT- HAD TONS OF CALLS AND ACTUALLY TOOK MY TIME GETTING READY ONCE!!!!

THE DAY STARTED OFF WITH CARTER FINDING OUT I WAS OFF TODAY! HE DID NOT WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL- SO I DECIDED I WOULD GO HAVE LUNCH WITH HIM -- NOW THAT WAS A DEAL!! OR SHOULD I SAY ORDEAL ! HA MAN- THOSE KIDS KNOW THERE LITTLE ROUTINE AND THEN SOME! I DIDNT KNOW WHO WAS THE ADULT THERE - HA LUNCH WAS GOOD - I WAS SO AMAZED AT HOW MUCH THE KIDS DONT EAT. NO WONDER CARTER IS EATING 24/7 WHEN HE GETS HOME-KINDA MADE ME SAD!!! THEN OFF TO RECESS! I GOT TO PLAY KICKBALL---INTERESTING- I THINK I WAS MORE THE REFEREE!

THEN OFF TO WALMART- I HAD PLANNED TO GET MY NAILS DONE AND EYES WAXED AND ONLY PICK UP A FEW THINGS {BUT AFTER THE WHOLE DINNER EPISODE I DECIDED TO BUY SOME HEALTHY SNACKS TO SEND TO SCHOOL FOR RECESS} SO MY CART WAS FULL AGAIN......

CAME HOME AND STARTED ON A CARD ORDER I HAVE--- SHORTLY AFTER CARTER GOT OFF THE BUS---{WHY DOES IT ALWAYS SEEM EVERYTIME I GO UPSTAIRS TO MAKE CARDS- I ONLY HAVE LIKE 1 HOUR OR LESS!!!}
MOM STOPPED BY.....THANKS FOR THE GIFT M/D!!! CANT WAIT TO $PEND IT!
NICK AND LEAH AND THE KIDS STOPPED BY AND I GOT THE COOLEST GIFT EVER!! PRIMITIVE OF COURSE!! THANKS GUYS-- I LOVED IT! LEAH YOU KNOW HOW TO SHOP!! :) PS NICK LOVED THE CARD AND $ TOO- {IT WAS HILARIOUS!}

NOW OFF TO LOS BRAVOS WITH MY 2 GUYS! IT WAS FUN --CHIPS-MARGARITAS -FRIED ICE CREAM AND OF COURSE THE GOOD OL HAT! {THANKS CARTER} HE TRIED TELLING EVERYONE I WAS 38!! (LIKE THATS SOOO OLD HA)

NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF---- WE CAME HOME AND CARTER GAVE ME MY GIFT FROM HIM -- IT WAS A PUJOLS #5 TOTE!! LOVE IT!!!! THEN DADS GIFT A BRIGHTON BRACELET---MY FAVORITE! THANKS HON- CARTER ACTUALLY PICKED IT OUT! HE HAS GOOD TASTER--- THEN CARTER HAD AN EXTRA SPECIAL LITTLE SOMETHING FOR ME- A BAG FULL OF INTERESTING THINGS----AND A HOMEMADE CARD MY FAVORITE OF ALL!!! THANKS GUYS I LOVE YOU! CARTER REALLY TOOK CARE OF ME TODAY AND TOLD JASON---DO IT ITS HER BIRTHDAY! HA THANKS NOW BACK TO JUST ANOTHER DAY TOMORROW20!!! GOOD NIGHT!

Calling it a pretty good day

My day started early! I had to be at the FCC at 7:45! I was helping Leslie with her booth at the Chriskindelmart- it was fun-lots of people lots of sales {my 1st sale was $195.00-I was excited} ANYWAYS fun.... all but 1 of my goof ups- I took about 6 chains off of a display AND YEP I got them ALL tangeled up!!!!! SERIOUSLY -- NOT GOOD! Les was so sweet about it- she actually laughed ANYWAYS I told her Jason was good at getting those undone-so I threw it in my purse to have him untangel my mess. After my shift was over @2:00 - I headed to my moms to get Carter- we then went to my cousin Lisa's {Jason is still at work} to see her new place-- well once again GRACE --I mean Amy went to the bathroom and you got it --- the toilet overflowed- did I mention she just mopped her floor!!! Ok I am 2 for 2 !!! SO anyways- Anna - Lisas sister was home visiting from Indy and I got an AWESOME AWESOME message from her-- She does this for several spas in Indy- and she is GOOOOOOD~I actually had to yell at her a few times for getting rough - We then ended up going to Los Planceas to have supper and margaritas! YUM!!!! and the boys were actually pretty good!! {No accidents there:) } My aunt Mary got ahold of the necklaces that I "rolled into a ball-as Lisa said" and she got them all undone! We then headed to Leslies to return them so she can sell them on Sun. We rang her doorbell and sang Christmas Carols !! :) She was knew it was me!! We Finally came home @ 9:00 and it feels so goos to lay on the couch! Good night to all <>< Amy

For the last several days I have drawn blanks at what to say on this blog! I read others and they are soooo inspiring-funny-sweet-& sometimes over my head :)..........sometimes I just sit here and look at this empty screen!! My life really isnt that boring! ha either it is or I cant write worth a poo :) So here goes......

Tonite we had dinner with my in-laws and some friends for my FIL birthday! We went to the Lake to eat pizza. The pizza or pissa which is what my FIL calls it is GREAT!! We then came home and did the whole nightly routine-shower-snack-story and bed! (Dont let me fool ya it wasnt as easy as it sounds) ha for those moms who do it-- know the REAL truth!!!

This weekend- one of my best friends Leslie is have a stand at the Christkindlemart. If you have never been it is really NICE. It is in Ferdinand-they have tons of "german themed" things going on along with tons of booths. ANYWAYS---I am helping Les at her booth again this year. Sometimes I think I get in the way more than I do help-I mean come on I dont know anything about jewerly except Sterling looks great on and Brighton is my favorite! But I will do whatever I can to help her!

A FUN WEEKEND!

Well, Friday night was quite interesting! My niece Maranda had her 16th birthday party at Camp Carnes. Carter and I went out for some pizza and to check it out! (Jason had his last fall league game so he missed out on the fun) Very intresting!!! Talk about fun police---well Nick-Leah and myself were all right there in their chops about the whole time.. It was like being young all over again (but Nick and I decided that the only thing different was there was no cooler there like when we were young) which was a good thing! We ate and stood by the fire and ate some more and just talked- it was a fun atomosphere.....I hate to even think about Carter turning 16- {like only 9 years} and I am sure the time will fly! BUT until then I will just enjoy him being young and under mine and Jasons wing for now!!

Sat. Jason had to work sooooooo........Carter and I slept in a bit and then got up and straightened the house. We then headed to get Grannie-we can always count on her-{ We called her and asked if she would like to drive along and go loafing. She said "Ill be ready when you get here"! } There is this cute little place {primitives of course} that I enjoy going to and Sat. was the day! I could not get it off of my mind- so off to get Grannie and we headed to Odon! Well-funny --I did not find anything that "knocked me over" (so my mom would say) BUT......I did find my paint color that I have been looking for! I guess that is the reason I went....I now can take down the 50 samples I had hanging in the dining room - It is always nice to see it on the wall first- so I am VERY HAPPY I got this accomplished.

Today-Sun we slept in AGAIN! We decided we would goto church tonite to the teen mass {Carter loves this - cause of the band and it gave Jason a chance to sleep in since he is working so much lately} Right now I am SNUG AS A BUG IN A RUG ---and I do not want to get up for anything. It is FREEzING outside!!! ----Jason and Carter put up our turkey today --cant believe Thanksgiving will be here before ya know it. Stay Warm!! and have a GREAT week <>< Amy
